I'm working on a ES-TL1 kit right now, and we really want to ditch the trapeze. I'm looking for a wrap around tail that will fit onto the studs from the bridge. I've found one in Germany, that is for a Deusenberg guitar, but I really don't want to spend the $100 US to get it, and find out it won't fit. Does anyone know of anywhere else I can turn to find something that will fit?

you mean 74mm between the posts centers? The ones I have all seem to go 80mm

your other option is to build it with a stop tail and bridge, like a Les Paul

That won't work because the posts are 82mm on center. I found one in Germany, for a Duisenberg guitar. I ordered it yesterday, we'll see if it fits. Filling the bridge holes and re-drilling isn't an option, the board underneath isn't wide enough to anchor into.

The bridge for the Duesenberg was a perfect fit.
