hey guys,,in the ES -1G KIT there are 4 pots ,,does it matter which ones i use for volume ,and tone ???

welcome to the forum Martguitar, use the 2 x A500k pots for volume and 2 x B500k pots for tone, they are marked on the pot in white lettering.

They will have an A or a B on them. A = linear logarithmic taper = volume. B = logarithmic linear taper = tone.

Whew! Was afraid I had some rewiring to do.
I have always used audio taper for both v and t.
Not sure on current project... I have Dano style lipstick tubes for a bass. On guitars they use 100k v pots and 1meg tone... I have seen schematics where the tone pot is linear...but since real Danos often have them stacked it seems weird that they'd have different tapers?
Also I can't find any schematics for a Dano bass. The pups are the same, but are the pot and cap values also the same? Any e know?
