classic Steinberger guitar

I want my first guitar build to be a classic 80's headless Steinberger. Google it and you'll see tons of kits from China but who knows if they're any good or how long it will take to arrive. I found a couple of headless guitars at PitBull but not the classic L-Series Steinberger (which was made out of graphite and carbon-fiber...I know I won't find that!) Can anybody guide me?

A few well placed cuts through a SH-1 kit will get pretty close to a small bodied Steinberger.
