For those who have not seen this movie before local TV guide indicates this will be shown on SBS 2 tonight at 8.30pm. Don't forget to turn the volume up to 11.

Excellent thanks for the heads up I'm not one for watching TV but this is certainly on the to-do list tonight!

Good call, Waz. The finest example of semi-improvised musical comedy (followed closely by 'A Mighty Wind'). If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favour.

Only seen it 20+ times. Watching the 90 minutes worth of scenes that didn't make the movie is fairly enlightening to the story as well.

Where did you see the deleted scenes?

Some are on the "special edition" dvd. Apparently, there is a 4 and a half hour cut floating around out there somewhere.

I've got this three disc version, which has just about every second of official Spinal Tap footage ever filmed including all the music videos and TV commercials they did for Findus.

Speaking of Spinal Tap, check out Mighty Wind which was made by the same people and is a spoof on the 1960s folk scene

I was in a band once called Marshalls 11. Aptly named after that legendary hilarious scene.

I've got the Spinal Tap movie on DVD, there are some pretty hilarious moments in it, but what is surprising is how excruciatingly accurate it is to what goes on in the day to day lives of touring band members.
