This is a break down of the in studio recording of Toto's Rosanna.
Like the song or not, this is a must listen. All the instruments and voices separated out and commentated on, goes for 15 mins but well worth it. The drums and bass are insane, goes to show what some of the worlds best studio musicians can come up with.

Amazing. Jeff Porcaro is just a mind blowing drummer. Here is a video of him breaking down the shuffle.

I saw this posted up the other week on TDPRI and thought it was brilliant, never thought to link it over here.

Pity he had to pick such a Spinal Tap way to shuffle off this mortal coil.

He exploded? Haha. Tragic and strange, yes, but at least it was no Terry Kath...

Edit: PS. I just noticed my signature line.... Forgot about that.

No, his was "the bizarre gardening accident". And yes, Terry Kath going "Deer Hunter" was more than tragic.

When I worked for Record Market we used to play "Rains down in Africa" as a shop clearer when we wanted to close up :P

Interesting, 'cept for the announcers.

They are really (w)anchors.

It amazes me how when you listen to individual channels, how an Engineer, MD or Producer can put it all together.

There is a doco floating around that has Tony Visconti going through Bowies Hero's channel by channel telling you what they did. Very interesting. (BBC Music Moguls series)
