I voted no, because I want a Stingray, one of which I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY ADAM!

Fenders are just so passé and... everywhere.

Musicman Stingray designed by Leo Fender

Yep, that's the one!

The Stingray might've ended up with a Fender logo if CBS hadn't taken over.

If a J bass was chosen to be added to the cattledog, I'd probably end up just sighing deeply and buying an IB-5.

Love the look but got a 4 string J Bass kit yet to start and would not consider another 5 stringer until I work my around the EX-5 that is just about finished.

Even though I'm partly fascinated by the idea of a fifth string - I can't imagine what I'd do with it. I have my hands full with four and with small hands I can't take advantage of the fifth.

Hi Arzi, Fully understand as I have small hands and fingers too and the EX-5 is my first 5 stringer. One advantage is that it gives you somewhere to rest your thumb when using fingers on low E string but the best feature is when playing in 3rd to 5th positions where you would normally consider open notes the low B provides a fretted option for the low E and notes below down to B. After a few more hours mucking around I will hopefully discover more uses for that very fat 5th string.

Only strung mine up about 2 hours ago and just fine tuning the intonation however neck will need a few more days to settle so I won't get too precious about the setup today.

Waz hit it on the beam! You can play up the neck so the frets are closer together for those of us
who are "digitally challenged".
You youngsters have getting shorter as you get older to look forward to, too!

Would love a 51 P/tele bass, hard part is finding someone in China making the pickup. Not quite the same with a standard P Bass pickup.
