To all further to my previous post I have now completed my first TLA1 (with the exception of setting the strings and final tune) I have attached some pictures of the project. I used the Dingo Tone "natural " finish on both the body and neck of the guitar. And if I do say so myself the finish is pretty good! Also, it took me a lot of time pre-sanding, then sanding again and again and again. The difficult part for me was coming up with a unique design for the machine head, cutting it out and sanding it to the final form. ( This will be my standard shape for future builds of this type).

This guitar will be my son's 40th birthday pressie so I hope he will enjoy it ha!

Cheers, George

Looks great George, I'm sure your son will be happy with that. The natural finish works well with the ash grain.

Hey George, yes, love it! As Tony said, keep it simple (plain and neat) and let the grain speak. Your lad has to be happy with that (I know I would).

Glad you finally got the Wax after a few attempts getting it to you.

Hi George, nice clean tele, well done on the build, the natural finish lets the nice ash grain do the talking.
Don't forget to remove the white protective stickers from back of the tuners.
Also did you think about a black pickguard might suit better ? That's only a personal opinion, the white still looks good.

Agree that this is a damn fine axe showing it's natural beauty.
