Yes I'm a huge EVH fan. I recently made a Kramer 5150 after I did the Frankenstrat.

I ordered a kit from Aliexpress which had a banana/hockey stick headstock and a strat body with a single bridge humbucker route. I had to make extensive modifications to the body to get it to the asymmetrical Kramer Pacer/Baretta shape.

If you're interested, do check out my youtube build here.

started watching Simon, love how you put the build diary together in a video and the backing music. I'll watch both of them in the next day or so

How did you get the guitar only track to Panama ? (early in video #1) Don't tell me that's you playing ?

Thanks for the kind words haha. I do need to learn more stuff.
I recorded the first video with the frankenstrat because I was still building the 5150 at that time. The second video's music was recorded with the 5150.
And no unfortunately haven't seen him live before. Hopefully one day!

the sound of the Frankenstrat is pretty much bang on. I'm about halfway though the second vid, is that you playing "you really got me" and you added bass and drum track ?
I can't tell the difference from EVH playing !

Yes that's me playing and I hope YouTube doesn't register it as a copyright infringement haha. Nah I don't think anyone can truly sound like evh himself! But I try my best! Thanks for the kind words! :)
And oh the tracks are all from guitarbackingtrack.com.
