Hi all

I am running through a trial fit on my guitar and something doesn't seem right to me.

The neck pocket on the body measures 15.875 mm at the back by the body.
It tapers downward to 17.462 mm at the opening at the neck.

I'm used to necks sitting squarely in a 90 degree angle.

When the neck is in the pocket, obviously it tapers back towards the headstock and the heel of the neck seems like it rises into the action field.

I'll attach some photos, but I'm having trouble uploading them :)

Would like to drill the holes for it before I start to stain it.

Is this the way the pocket is supposed to be?

Hi Lordy. Is this an Iceman kit? All guitars with a tune o matic Bridge have a break angle on the neck to compensate for the height of the bridge so this is normal.
With your photos resize then to under 1mb or lower than 1500 x1500 size

Thank you wokkaboy. I did a lot of looking on my neck question. There were no posts regarding anyone having a similar problem , so I knew it was something minor. I did check out your Iceman build. Very cool. I have never really used forums over my years on the internet, so the guitar build and posting are both new to me. Will try to resize the pics I take and post in my build diary.
