I'm interested in the Ibanez style bass (IB-5) I was just wanting to know if anyone knows what the string spacing is. I don't want it too wide as I am used to playing a Warwick.
I have emailed Adam and he sugested asking here.

Thanks

Here's the bridge supplied in my IB-5 kit.

Measured up as 68 mm total spacing with 17mm string width. (68/4 = 17 so that agrees at least).

This link shows the basic specs for a Warwick bass- given that they're usually adjustable to the player's taste.

Standard Warwick 5string basses have a start spacing of 16.5mm, so you should find the IB-5 spacing very familiar.

Oh, and welcome aboard!! :)

Awesome, thanks for that. I think I'll get one.
I have never done anything like this. How has it been to make?

Hi Asarge I built an IB-5 bass and was a fairly straight forward build.
The control cover cavity isn't recessed so you may have to recess that and the output jack may need to make the hole shorter to get the thread on the stereo output jack.
