Well, I've got all the costs in now (cost of the kits, plus freight, customs, duty, quarantine, port charges, etc) and have been able to do some final costings on this new shipment, which will be on our doorstep around Wednesday or Thursday.

The good news is that the savings on the FCL (Full Container Load) appear to outweigh the fall in the Aussie dollar. So, prices are generally staying where they are or even falling!

Firstly though, there were a few anomalies, where it looks like I've priced some kits way too cheap, or China charged us the wrong price in earlier shipments. There's only a few of these:

LP-1 we've been selling these for a special price of $169, but they need to be $185
The LP-1M (Mahogany) can stay at $189
The ES-1G has to go up $10 to $295
The SV-1 goes from $199 to $215
The IB-1 was under-priced at $239 and needs to be $279
The MK-2 (Mosrite Ventures Mark II) will need to go up by $10 to $189
The spalted HB-4S bass was under-priced at $249, will be $265
The ESB-4 hollow bass was way under-priced at $265 and needs to be $315
And the ESB-4SC (Single cutaway version) needs to go from $275 to $309
Not sure what's going on with the IB-6S, but these need to be $289 (they were $225)

So, the good news is, many kits are coming down in price! These include, but not limited to:

ST-1 (our biggest seller) was $125 now $115
STA-1 (Ash Strat) was $149 now $135
TL-1 Tele style kits were $149 now $135
TLA-1 Ash Tele style kits were $189 now $155
LPA-1 Ash LP kits were $225 and now $199
EXA-1 Ash EX kits were $235 now $215
JR-1 and JR-1DC down $10 to $179
TL-1A and TL-1HA Alder Teles down from $189 to $155
LP-1S and LP-1SS Spalted LP kits down from $219 and $229 to $205 and $219 respectively.
IB-5 5 string Ash bass was $215 now $199
JB-4 and JB-4M from $165 to $145

I think you'll agree, apart from a few that were priced too cheap, it's pretty good news all around.

We won't be able to order container loads every shipment, and we don't know what is going to happen with the Aussie dollar, but for the time being (until June at least) these will be our new prices.

I will adjust the prices on Wednesday/Thursday this week, so if you want to grab something now, before it goes up, now is your opportunity.

15 kits down and nine up. Can't complain about that... Especially with some warning that it's coming.

Adam, this only shows your integrity mate.
You could have said nothing about price drops, but you are passing them on.
This is why this is the best site to buy from and the best forum of it's type- the awesome support and community here. Thanks Adz!

Cheers Guys, I have to admit I had a few ghosts from my past (namely my bosses from my Music Link days) sitting on my shoulder saying "don't mention the savings, just take the extra profit". Alas, we're in a competitive market and anything that gives us the edge...

Oh and I only mentioned a few models that are coming down in price, the number is actually more like 40 or 50 out of the 90 we offer that are coming down in price.

Hey Pest, yes, I was genuinely surprised by the savings in shipping by the full container load. Although, as Shipping used to be my job, in the 90's, I should have predicted it.

By the way Pest, you were missed at the Melbourne meet up.

Next time, eh?

Yeah Telenapper, I was at home during the meetup, had to take care of dad as that was the day he was discharged from hospital. Maybe next time (dunno when that will be, maybe an unofficial meetup?)

I ask you, where else in this crazy world will you find the type of honest, good old-fashioned service (and support) that PBG gives us?

Adam, yet again we "dips our lids" to you and all the team at PBG! :)

Absolutely couldn't have put it better myself. A true example of fair play and integrity (very rare in this 'day and age')
