Hi Guys ,On buying an Acoustic guitar from The Acoustic Inn. I was recommended to put Marveer By Kiwi
On the fretboard .it smelt nice kind of Cherry but it conditioned the fretboard beautifully . Trying to find some more
If anyone sees it or knows of it ,can you let me know it's whereabouts . The spray Version is supposedly dire smudgy.

Big thanks
Kimball

My Nana uses Marveer on her French Polished side board.. Has done so for over 70 years!
I will ask her where she gets it.
Never thought to use it on a fretboard though..

Yeah DB , Andrew at The Acoustic Inn says it's all he used on the Martins Matins Cole Clarke Fret boards
There was never any build up tackiness and contains no silicones .

The bottles of Marveer oil were deleted from production a few years ago. The spray cans are all they sell now.

Hmmmm, not so sure on this one - just looked at the MSDS - Liquefied petroleum gas, liquified hydrocarbon and water with minor quantities of other non hazardous ingredients are possible...

Just thinking - might work if you have another finish on top, but on the raw wood - aren't you risking drying the wood out not hydrating it like with Lem Oil / Dr Ducks, etc...

Hi Brendan I've used it ok my acoustics and other basses and guitars approx 8 years . They've been great I'll put up some picks later

The MSDS may be for the spray only (especially given that it appears to be the only thing available) - my concern was based on being mainly hydrocarbon and a little bit of water - nothing really to give the board a drink and save it from drying out...

Took pic of ingredients list but nothing listed

I'd need one too, and only half their age, good on 'em

My mum used Marveer all the time on our furniture too. Then she swapped to some orange oil thing...

Might be a really good excuse to go for a nice drive in the countryside with the better half, Kimball..
Check out a few small country town shops, ya never know you might find a few bottles lurking around :)
