I've been searching for a decent android app for my Samsung Tablet.

Apparently there isn't one.

It seems Andriod devices suffer latency issues, unlike apple devices.

If anyone has a decent Android app then let us lnow

Cheers PK

Seems like an on going issue with Android. I think a switch to ios would definitely solve the problem.
What are you trying to achieve in regards to recording, just capturing guitar, multi-tracking, vocals, other?

Hi Barge, yeah just want to catch the Guitar. and maybe build some layers. drumms, bass.

I just came across Caustic 3, but it looks way over my head. need an engineering degree to even just start it... LOL

Yeah I hear ya, there's a massive learning curve with a lot of this software. It can get pretty mind boggling. How much is the full version of that Caustic app? It looks pretty good if you could get your head around it.

Caustic has an unlock key app and it's only $10($9.99) with out the unlock it won't save.

they do appear to have a very good level of manuals and tutorials.

For $10 it might just be worth the effort, provided my T2 can actually run it. So I'll have a look in Demo mode first.

Like you say, provided your tab can keep up, for the price I reckon it'd definitely be worth the perseverance.

Sorting through all the shortcommings of Andriods is becomming like pulling teeth witha pair of multigrips.

To use a nice app like Caustic, one first needs an app similar to Audiobus.
Apparently Google developed patchfield audio library for this Great there is no clear description as to how to deploy the stuff.
there is a zip file here https://github.com/google/patchfield
I've also found a DAW for anrdoid. Audio Evolution Mobile DAW cost is $8.99AUS

All about patchfield

There are to ways to solve the the Android latency problem,

1. http://www.synthtopia.com/content/category/ipods-portable-media-players/android-music-app/

"At the 2015 NAMM Show, IK Multimedia announced iRig UA, a digital effects processor and interface that they say allows near-zero latency processing with AmpliTube UA on all devices with Android 4.0 or higher and that support USB host mode/USB OTG.

IK’s Android solution addresses the Android platform fragmentation and OS latency problems by moving the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) of the device to the iRig UA. A digital signal processing chip directly inside iRig UA handles the effects processing, while the AmpliTube UA control app provides the graphic interface that lets users edit their guitar rig and save or recall presets."

2. buy an ipad.........
