Folks, I have no choice but to make a slight modification to Pit Bull Guitars Free Postage in Australia policy.

As of today, free postage will only apply to orders over $24.95. Any orders under $24.95 will attract a Postage fee of $7.95.

The reason being is that we use Australia Post's eParcel service to send all of our orders; thus enabling a tracking functionality. The minimum cost for one eParcel consignment is $7.80 (or thereabouts), plus the cost of the physical packaging materials (like our sexy new packing boxes).

With our guitar and bass kits, there is no problem, as we have a "buffer" of about $25, built into the RRP of the kit, which covers the average cost of sending a guitar or bass kit anywhere in Australia. This way we can offer free delivery anywhere in Australia. We will continue to offer Free Postage on kits in Australia.

If you order a Guitar or Bass Kit you will not pay any postage if you live in Australia.

Interestingly, that buffer also allows us to offer a reasonable postage rate to the US, UK, Europe and SE Asia of just $59.95, whereas it actually costs us between $75-$115, depending on the country.

Anyhoo, the problem is that a lot of people have been ordering some small bits and pieces (guitar wax, neck glue, neck top coat, Luthier's kit, etc) by themselves. All of these items are too large to send in a stamped envelope, so we must send them by eParcel @ $7.80 plus the packaging.

So, we have been faced with paying $7.80 to send an item that Retails at $3.95. Clearly that does not make business sense.

We've worn it up to now because we feel the Free Postage policy is such a draw card. However, we can't continue paying to send out stock.

If you're clever about you're ordering and save your order until you have over $24.95 worth of stuff to order, this won't affect you at all. However, if you just need a pot of glue or Dingotone Guitar Wax then, yes, you will need to pay an extra $7.95 postage to Australia Post.

Thanks for your understanding.

Couldn't agree more and if it keeps PBG more afloat then it's win win
