Mate!! You don't know how close I came to selling it.
After this accolade I'm gonna keep this guitar until the day I die.

good move Barge, you must still be torn about selling the Black Top.
Even if you have to eat 2 minute noodles to fund the next kit is a better option haha

Cheers mate, and best thing is it sounds nothing like anything else I own. 'tis a true rock pig, no sweet lullabys from that one just grind and thump.

Congrats to all the winners. Definitely mirrored my picks in all categories! Well done boys. I do think Ads should add a prize for the most points accrued by a single builder???? :P :P

cheers,
Gav.

That's a pretty good idea, would be nice to see who got the most points: PBG Premiership Award for 2014

Wokka. It would be Wokka. No doubt.

haha would be too much work to add up all the GOTM points everyone has been awarded, plus the earlier months were judged by one person, not the panel. I've probably entered into about 24 GOTMs so doubt anyone else has entered that many times

Congratulations to all the other winners too!

Folks, it may seem like we've forgotten these GOTY winners. Not so.

I am working on the awards and prizes, it may just take a week or two.

Stay tuned.

And Gavin, yes, I think you definitely deserve some recognition for being the most nominated. A pretty i9mpressive effort.

Great entries one and all and every one a testament to the quality builds being turned out by the PBG Fan Club.

Congratulations to the winners of course, truly superb builds ... but also absolute kudos to every entrant - I'd be stoked to have any of those guitars in my collection.

UPDATE

Today, I shipped out the Awards to each of the four winners, so hopefully they will receive them next week.

I will also be making some space on the site to show off the Winning guitars, I just haven't decided where they should go.

I'll do that when I get back from Melbourne in the week of the 9th of March.

nice one Ads,
any clues what the prizes were ? suppose we will find out next week when the winners post photos.
I presume best place to display the GOTY would be below GOTM ?

Hey Wokka, I was hoping to keep it a bit of a surprise, but yes, we'll know when they get them next week. It's nothing too flash, just a small memento that should go "straight to the pool room".

I'm thinking I might get rid of the Gift Vouchers on the Home Page (we've only sold about 3) and put the GOTY Awards there. I'll think about it.

I just received the message from Ads and frankly.. I'm seriously blown away.
Like I said to Adam in the email, I would have been more than happy to get a little mention on the Facebook page or something, but the fact the Ads and the PBG crew have seen fit to actually send out a physical prize in the mail is just another testament to how freakin' awesome these guys are.
From a bloke that never won anything, I'm totally humbled and more thankful than words can express.
You fullas f@#king rock!!!

Yahooo got mine today.
Just winning a category tickled me pink, but the award & prize were icing on the cake - bigtime.
Thanks so much Adam and team.
Now all I need to do is find a piece of wall that is good enough for it.

G'day Lunaticthighs, awesome build, mate! How did you go with the build, especially the Ric bridge? I've just started an RC-4 myself and have a Ric bridge I'd like to fit.

being my first build it was a little trial and error but there are so many helpful threads and people here. It helped that I had an image in my head of how I wanted it to look before I started.
As for the bridge it wasn't too hard but does require a little routing to allow it to fit. Which was a little scary but took my time and used a lot of low tack tape.
