Hey Adam, could I custom order a 25 string guitar for my super heavy djenting? I only need a pickup for the bottom two strings though. If you play djent, dont take it to heart, no offence intended.

Otherwise known as a Diddley Bow. African Americans were making them 120 years ago. (Obviously not electric ones, they've only been made since the 1940's)

Does that fit gauge 99999 strings?

wokkaboy

not sure Ultpanzi, might need Ads to supply something stronger than a fence picket. Maybe add some Ormsby carbon fibre to it to strengthen it

I reckon it will suit gauge 666 strings ;)

That was my first ever car, Mk 3 Cortina 1600. Cragar rims, Italian made double barrel Weber, Coby exhaust system, extractors, lumpy cam, Pioneer CD player and furry black interior. Finished in a beautiful shade of primer grey (also known as "police magnet" grey)
What a heap of shit...but it was my heap of shit:-)

classic Barge, thats what I'm assuming Ian (TC1600) used to drive. Did it go alright Barge or was it a dog to drive ?
The Australian version had a 2 litre, and a 200 and 250 cubic inch straight 6

When I first bought it (before I started doing it up) it was poo metallic brown and used to use 4 litres of oil for every 100 kms.
Bought a new motor, did it up and it was a good bus, when you're 16 years old just having a car of your own is a bonus. For only a 1600 she used to wind up to 170km flat out, not bad really.

classic Barge, thats not bad at all 170 clicks for 80% of an orange juice carton !

Barge you would have heard the saying or seen the sticker on a V8 car saying "only milk and orange juice come in 2 litres" haha

That's right , I forgot I put a racing steering wheel in it too (of course), the factory ones, if I remember correctly were about the same diameter as the wheel off the Love Boat.
Finally saved up enough money for a tidy car, sold it to some young fullas round the corner and they wrote it off within two weeks, could handle the power:-)

So Barge we must be the official day time PBG thread jackers haha - we keep the forum running.

I'm still trying to summon up the energy to go and pull all the electronics off that pickguard but it turns out sitting here talking crap and drinking Pale Ale is far more agreeable...

Yep, green ones all day long.
I don't mind fiddling round with electronics but I guess after building 23,592 guitars it'd get a bit boring eh....Wokka?

Lol this thread took off on a tangent!! Sorry to disappoint, it wasn't a Cortina, the TC stood for Twin Cam, I had an AE82 Corolla for years with the 4AGE engine, factory 7700rpm redline and a sweet note from the straight through exhaust, it was full of rust but I loved driving through the Adelaide hills in that thing! I was on a few car forums with that as a user name and it just kind of stuck. I sold it a while back as I bought my dream car from my teens, a GT-Four Celica :)

no but the GT 4 was turbo and all wheel drive - at the time was the WRC championship car, very cool

Stan got it in one, pretty much the fore runner to every boy racer's wet dream, the WRX, but way cooler, and much more rare! I think they are a bit of an under appreciated car right now, there's not many around so they tend to be a bit forgotten about.

wokkaboy
22-01-2015, 04:06 PM
we might as well rename this a car thread haha
I got a WRX-head workmate he owns 3, he has a rare 22B which was imported from Japan only a few hundred built. Been for a ride and goes like a shower

the ST185 paved the way but I loved the ST205

one of my favourite rally cars

The 22B was an awesome bit of kit, probably the peak WRX model, after that they seemed to get a bit fat and soft. The 205 was the one I really wanted, but only 77 were sold in Australia, so they are still pricey, I was happy to settle for the 185 though :)

22b is pretty iconic. 185 still a very nice car - it was the first GT4 I ever saw, loved that vented bonnet goodness

I'm a bit slow in regards to 'Djent' thing, better late then never and did get a good laugh out of it once the penny dropped!

Gotta agree with you on that one Bargie ... djent=wank ... there's only so far you can palm-mute and play and one string before you find "cool" disappearing into the distance in the rear-view mirror and you've face-planted yourself into "ridiculous"! :D

For an uber-nerdy looking geek, that kid SteveTerreberry is pretty funny! ... Metalcore Wiggles  ... it just had to be done! (love it! :D)
