Published on Oct 10, 2014In this video we take a look at Positive Grid BIAS Desktop. BIAS Desktop is a guitar amp plugin - but it's more than just that!

In many guitar amp plugins you will get some well modeled amps and cabs. However, with BIAS Desktop, you get more - you have the ability to mix and match components from different amp models, enabling you to create almost any amp model around or even create amps that only exist in your mind!

With BIAS Desktop you can customize everything to achieve your own personal tone and style.

That's right, change the tolex, grill cloth, knobs....
Change the tubes, and bias the tubes.
Change the Tone Stack, and Transformer.
Adjust the Power Amp and EQ Blocks.
Pick from several high quality cabs and adjust the mic position.
And soooo much more!

And don't forget the Amp Match feature! That's right, Amp Match!
With Amp Match you can match the tone of your favorite tube amps. I've even used it to match amp tones of real, album recorded amps.

The sound quality of BIAS Desktop is second to none. The high gain metal tones do not have that "digital fizz" that many amp plugins have. The clean tones are so pure and articulate you will swear you are plugged into a boutique amp.

BIAS is not just about guitar though, it can also do bass amps. This can be your one stop plugin for all your guitar and bass needs.

This video is not about showing the great tones of BIAS Desktop. For this first video I just wanted to show the interface and all the options you have available. I will have plenty more BIAS Desktop videos showing direct tones.

Be sure to check out the Positive Grid YouTube Channel for demos of BIAS Desktop.

BIAS Desktop is AAX compatible! So if are like me and use Pro Tools 11, you can use this revolutionary plugin right within Pro Tools 11 today!

I only endorse and recommend plugins that I personally like, and this one has blown me away! You can really hear and feel the "tube goodness" in BIAS Desktop. Go check it out right now!

That's of its head! It's almost a Kemper for mortals. I need to check it out.
Wokks pro tools is like cubase in every way except pro tools is the industry standard in pro studios and also has a tonne of purpose built hardware designed specifically to work with the program. Nothing wrong with cubase, it a just the next rung down from pro tools, but a Damn lot cheaper to get in to.

Hi Wokka and Andrew , download the free Demo and try it out to see if it's to your liking . They do two versions
Bias Desktop $99.00 and Bias Desktop Pro $199.00 the pro version does the amp matching . I've used Amplitude
For years but the Bias desktop is like removing the cotton wool from your ears and hearing the amp as it would be
Micked up. It is compatible with Cubase VST plugins Logics Audio Units And Pro Tools Rtas And 32 bit and 64 bit AAX.
enjoy it
Best wishes
