Hey Folks,

A complete LP-1M kit up for grabs. It's all good, except the binding at the neck join has chipped (see picture). I'm sure this can easily be repaired.

It's all yours for $150, including postage (anywhere in Australia).

Really? What about making up a mixture of cream binding and glue and filling the chip IDK...

Or paint over it. Set the neck first, fill the gap and sand smooth

Binding shavings and acetone goop mix will probably do it.

not sure about acetone, the binding may dissolve/mix well, but if it doesn't set then it may even eat existing binding...

I would do something like ground up binding in something like 2 part epoxy

Or cut the existing off square and get a small block of binding and glue it in. Heat is usually used to make binding joins invisible, just dont over do it

Weirdy is right, acetone is used to bond binding together.
I would shave some from an inconspicuous spot and experiment.
