Hi guys
maybe this had already been thought about but as a newbie i'm alowed to make these mistakes i hope...
Black bindings make a nice difference i think.
I got an acoustic guitar in dark brown vintage satin finish...
With a black binding and it just let the wood get all the attention...
Well at least i think so it does.

I think I like the idea - that said, playing with acoustics can be tricky, but given your experience with wood, I reckon you can do it. Check with the Gavmeister who may be able to provide more advice. One thing to note though - check the way the guitar is held together - that the purflings are in place and in good nick before you rip off the only thing holding the guitar together :) .

This photo doesn't show the black binding that well, but it looks great with this colour guitar. I actually selling this guitar at the moment so I can fund further kit purchases.

Stewmac supplies both the black 'plastic' binding and the ivory wood binding...you can probably get a black perloid off ebay too.

just picture that on a ES style kit
f-holes could be made like black holes
i'd like to try and make a dark toxic green guitar...black bindings would set that off just right i think
white is classic and makes the guitar look great...but it can't do what black could do...and that is make the guitar dark
