Another of the project production line.

The Mahogany body on this LP double cut Junior is a blend os SM Red Mahogany and Cherry Red!
I will be using Gibson Tuners, Rosewood Fretboard with white MOP markers. The neck is also Mahogany. This is the second wrap-around bridge in the line. Because I want this to sustain forever with maximum harmonics I will be using a Graphtech Resomax bridge. Standard black Pickguard will be employed.
For pickups all I can find is that the Lindy Frailin P90 Hum Cancelling pickups are highly rated when using a single pickup on these guitars.

Nice! You should check out Brierley Pickups P-90s. From the buzz on Guitarnerd they are spectacular, moderately priced (about the same as the Fralin or a bit less), and completely hand built in Australia.

nice looking junior Gav, I can see you in the naughty room for a long time with all these non PBG builds. Love the colour on the mahogany grain. Have you given up your job to make time for all these builds ?

Some updated photos on the Junior.

I eventually went for the Lindy Frailin Noiseless P90....figured if it was going to squeal at 17.1 impedance I'd like it to do so without competing hum!

Yeah, this baby is going to squeal! only problem is the guys in Aus who are the Lindy Fralin suppliers are pretty poor in offering any feed back. They have happily taken $200 off me but are incapable of responding to my emails to tell me or even confirm that they have shipped the pickup.

thats pretty average service Gav to charge $200 for a pickup and not tell you when it will arrive. Did you order it from Hare and Forbes ? haha (the bandsaw saga)

At least Toll (H& F) would lie to you hourly .......these blokes pretend you don't exist!

OOhh sounds like customer service with a smile! At times, you kinda hope those guys go out of business (after delivery of the said P90) and learn that without customer service, they don't get much business.

Time to name and SHAME!

Tone Bros - your service is shocking. You do not respond to e-mails. You do not provide customers with any feedback but you are happy to accept our money!

Maybe a community the size of Pitbull could influence Lindy Frailin to change their distributor in Australia to PBG simply so we can show you, Tone Bros what great service really is! Thoroughly disgusted!

Too right PK! She's a beaut! Got a full refund from ToneBros though. Pity they cannot read as I specifically said to them "please just let me know my order is being attended to, Only concerned that I have had Zero feedback. I definitely want the pickup." They read that as me wanting a refund????
Pity that this JR won't have the Fralins, but not sure what KU was using in his Junior anyway, but I'd best guess he was using Fralins. However, I have always wanted Kinman pickups and at the price they had better be better than brilliant....but good choice for the Junior since I only have to afford ONE!
