Hi All

I am looking forward to receiving my kit, should be here soon. I have made an acoustic guitar, a Tele and a Strat, all from scratch so I have some guitar making experience. I will try to attach some pics from photobucket.....hope they come out.

I have decided to try out a pit bull kit so I purchased the LP 1 kit from the Sunday Special.

Looks like a great forum here and I hope to be able to help out as much as being helped out.

Cheers

welcome Neil,
your scratch builds look excellent so a kit will be a breeze. What sort of timber are the bodies ash ?
Are the necks scratch built too ?
I have started a build diary on the LP-1M kit hopefully you get a flame cap as good as mine.
I recommend popping the flames with a black stain first up.
Best of luck and look forward to the build diary

Hi Wokka

Yes, swamp ash bodies and Tassi Blackwood necks. Tru Oil finish. I had to veneer the front and back of the Strat headstock. Some fool drilled 7 peghead holes....wonder who that could have been.....

nice work around then Neil, so you just mis counted the tuner holes and drilled 7 ? You won't do that again. Could have fit wider pups/bridge and made it a 7 string but alot more work.
Please start a build diary when the LP-1M arrives.
What stain colours you got in mind ?
