Hey everyone great site glad to be here 8-)

Ordered my first kit, an ES-1GT and I'm chomping to get started on it, going to be a long wait so I'm busy planning and scheming, ordering upgrades :D

Wudtone burst Amber/Mahogany - vintage Amber neck, hmmm still debating, anyway thanks I think I may be developing an addiction.

Cheers all Hillsy

Welcome, Hillsy. Love your logo and sticker. Have fun building and please post updates. I love watching these things go from a box to an axe. And ask as many questions as you like cos there are heaps of guys here with good answers, plus there's professional advice from Gav and DB. You can't go wrong. Well, maybe you can, but it'll be difficult.
Cheers.

Interesting approach . . . start with a very cool & quirky label, then build a guitar around it.
Oughta be a ripper, judging by the little peep at your skills so far.

welcome Hillsy,
not the easiest kit to start on but sounds like your planning is going well, amber/mahogany burst will look sweet with vintage amber neck. Love your logo are you planning to put the Hillsy on the headstock as an inlay ?
Ask any questions, there is a good tip to use 5mm clear plastic tubing to pull the pots through the holes when inserting the wiring.
Best of luck and look forward to the build diary. What upgrades have you ordered ?
I guarantee you it won't be your last build !

Cheers Brendon and Stan

Thanks wokkaboy, yeah mop or similar inlay, might be ambitious and I'll have to learn how to do it first but I'm really getting into the design and concept behind this build, trying for an old school Blues/Gibson tribute and a piece of art that I just don't want to put down :)

Changing all the hardware to chrome, pots, 50's wiring including old school braid, pickups and more.

Cheers
