Ok plan for this ash TL is sunburst with pearl binding and black back to help the binding really stand out. Here is where im up to.

looks sweet as Jarrod, so this is an ash body, not an alder right ?
Keen to see your binding setup when I come and visit sometime, its going to be another cracker build, well done. Love the burst !

Thank you stan its my first attempt without the spray gun.

Hey Wokks, binding set up is just a hand held router buddy, cutter has a bearing on the end to follow the bodies contore.

Oh and yes bro this is ash body. Ive got fricken kits everywhere at the mo

sweet Jarrod so this is a rag on stain burst, you have nailed it, what stain colours have you used ?

Red mahogany , cherry red , and lemon yellow and yes ragged on with alcohol spray to rub blend in.

Nice work Jarrod - you've really nailed the "poor man's burst" with dyes. Looks superb. Gotta say I love the pearl binding as well! Nice one!

Thanks Gav, Im sharpning skills to pluck up the courage to do a scratch build soon. Who knows I might just pull it off.

Been awhil since I worked on this one but hey Its back on. 3rd coat of clear just gone on.

cheap labor will result in cheap builds Jarrod, best do it yourself mate !
