Ok, I know that we've reached critical mass for the time being, I just thought I'd put this one out there while I remember. Maybe someone will agree down the track.

Now I know we have a stack of telecaster kits already in the lineup, but what i would really like to build is a Cabronita, either solid or thinline:

As I said, just an idea for later or never. Thanks for listening!

cheers,
Gav.

Mmm. That's nice. Especially the thinline.

I don't think we will have much trouble convincing Adam to add one of these to the catalog sometime in the future.

Hey, you don't need to convince me. Isn;t the bottom one just a TL-1TH with a different scratch plate, bridge and pickps? What are the specs Gavin?

Tv jones pickups.....

Most importantly, it's also available as a bass!

Alder, P Bass body, Fideli'Tron™ Bass Humbucking pickup.

Guitar specs - alder body, 2 x Fideli'Tron 'buckers, 1 x volume control and a 3 way switch (neck, neck & bridge, bridge). Vid of a couple of guys jamming with the thinline and the solid body...

Yep exactly - thanks Brendan. The salient specs for me are: only volume and 3-way switch, no control plate on the front, and dual HH configuration - mini humbucker routes would suffice. Of course TV-Jones would be the best choice here! Subtle differences I know from the standard tele offering(s), but the result is sweet.

cheers,
Gav.

Getting itchy Dave?

I think Igor may have escaped and planted bad thoughts in my head :D

Apparently Cabronita means bastrad in the local lingo ( them that "the wall" is meant to stop ).

I think if I did one it would be Fidelitrons rather than Filtertrons or TV Jones

Not possible Dave, I have that Cabron Igor on lock down (bloody Adam and his bloody mahogany kit specials). He’s not allowed to leave the lab as he’s got some wiring to do.

No, I managed to distract Igor by tagging my finger with a grinder mounted flap disc.
I have, thankfully, avoided any more kit purchases, as I’m mindful of the fact there is a current build for a mate, the sanding and electrics prep for the silent build, an LP to finish, and a Vee sitting untouched in its box. Not to mention some building projects for the Bride, a workbench to finish up and a sanding station to build. (I don’t even want to think about the scratch builds, the lumber that needs sizing rebuilding my timber rack or the custom fretboard work 🤫)

Yep that's a tall order of things to do!

BTW you need fingers to play guitar;)

yeah don’t I know it!

It’s all good, Igor has spares. Luckily it was a small hit and no major damage.
