At the risk of sounding like a total idiot...I'm about to move on to the wiring of my ES-1G...I see the wiring diagram calls for a "ground to bridge"...but I've plugged the bridge holes since I'm using a floating bridge...

So...if I've done that, how do I ground the guitar?

Also, for a ES-1G...do I need to shield the pickup cavities?

Thanks!

If you are using a metal tailpiece you can drill a hole to the tailpiece, which will provide a place
for you to ground to.

Yeah, what Tristan said above.
You have to find something that gives you electrical continuity through to the strings.

Yes what the guys said. I would definitely shield the pickup cavities and also connect them to the ground.

cheers,
Gav.
