With each kit I've built, the wiring has always been my biggest headache. I watched this vid before I did my last one and it helped enormously. It's not that there is a lack of info here already, but this clip is very concise.

Good post Pablo, I'm all for better wiring techniques and I would like to add some stuff.
I have been involved in electronic design, manufacture, repair and maintenance pretty well all my working life and the info in that video will cover most situations for amateur builders. But here are a couple of easy things to do that will help with your soldering without expense or hassle.

Instead of making (or buying) a fancy aligator clip holder just use an old bit of wood with a bulldog clip screwed on to it.

For better heat transfer on the tip of your soldering iron just file it flat a little bit.

Awesome post Pablo, that really gave me some proper direction with my soldering technique, nice and simply explained, great video.
