View Full Version : Pickups for TLD-1TP
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has a diagram that shows the wiring for the TLD-1TP?
I've done a search on the net but none show exactly what i have.
Its the standard Pitubull kit with 2 P90s, 3 way switch, 1 tone and 1 volume.
Most diagrams show with 2 tone and 2 volume or with push/pulls.
Thanks,
Jazz.

This will work.

If you think of the P90s as just fat single coil pickups (or two conductor humbuckers) then you can just use standard Tele wiring. Any of these will work:
Standard Tele (http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=standard_tele)
Basic 2 Humbucker Tele (http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=tele_2hum)
2 Humbucker, 3-way lever, 1 Vol, 1 Tone (http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WD2HH3L11_00/Guitar-Wiring-Diagram-2-Humbuckers3-Way-Lever-Switch1-Volume1Tone000.html)
Just match up the hot and ground of your pickups with the diagrams and you're set (the colours aren't always the same).
(looks like I'm typing too slow, Fretworn has it covered)
Thanks guys, the info and diagrams helped. Also thanks to the Pitbull crew who were at Mojo's last weekend. It was a good little turn out too.
Also when the 3 way switch is in the bridge position the volume is much lower then in the neck positon. Any suggestions?

Any idea what the resistance readings of the two pickups are? Posible you may also have a short! Get a multimeter and measure the resistance of each pickup from the 'eyes' on the base of the pickup and then measure again at the end of the pickup wires.
