Hey guys, I was searching through StewMac's Trade Secrets and I found this article (http://www.stewmac.com/tsarchive/ts0134.html) on making a simple DIY bypass pedal, and I was wondering if for either of the 2 diagrams, could I simply copy the same wiring but also have it on the other side of the switch? I think it can work because the footswitch works the same way as a Mini-Toggle i.e. lug formation so it would be possible

If I understand you correctly, and you want the switch to flip between two independant bypass loops, then yes you definitely could do it with the simple one, not sure how it would work with the led version. You would, of course, have no direct link, you would have to go through either one of the loops.

The real place to ask is Aron Nelson's stompbox forum. I haven't been a member there for years but there are some very knowledgable people on that forum, including Mike Fuller from Fulltone and Zachary Vex.

I made an A B box the other month, it had two switches on it (making it in to an A B Y box). one switch allowed either amp to be used, the other switch allowed both amps to work. Another feature of an A B box is instead of going from one guitar to two amps, it works the other way as well,ie two guitars in to one amp. I found it very confusing, if I was to make another one I'd put lights on it to tell what amp was active. Because, sometimes. if only using one amp, guitar (which really defeats the purpose) there was a lot of button pushing to get the right combination. Hope this helped.

Putting LEDs in an AB box is problematic as they can't be in the signal chain, so you end up need to transformers and stuff. When its just a switch it's the easiest pedal you can make.

LED's require a 9 volt power supply and a 4.7k resistor wired up to it and it will work

You could also check out the hand-drawn schematics I posted in my DIY Pedals thread too.
