Gav, I think you mean at least 4....plus factoring in some for any Tele-Napping.

What a ripper!

I'm definitely in, Adam will want one, reckon DB will too, if you are in Ray, that's 4... Anyone else want to pre-order? Adam, can you find out if we can get this and price wise?

Yep, hands up here too.

I love these Baricasters, and have been eyeing one off for a while. A PB version would be wonderful!

May be open for one as well... Depending on cost, etc... I like the idea of something a little different. Given the small price difference between Alder / Ash, etc and Basswood - would people rather one wood over another?

Please deliver Wudtone Butterscotch with mine!?

Just awesome, those knobs really should go to 11. And I dig that burst.

Too...many...guitars...to...build! Looks like I'll have to put an alder Baritele on my list as well.

The Teleburgler is going to be busy.

I'd be up for a baritone tele, that demo on youtube sounds sick.
LOoks like we got enough interest for almost 10 of these kits!

See if you can come up with a rough price Adam !

At the risk of resurrecting an old thread, are we looking at a Pit Bull Community kit here (http://pitbullguitars.com/?page_id=42&mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=234)? Definite interest, Tele body (in honour of Adam), and something (in terms of kits) that's unique.

I think that now that we have a good mix of Bass builders and electric builders the time has come to introduce a baritone or two and given the interest in this thread it would be a welcome addition to the stable to have a Bari-Tele and Jag on board.
while we might like to claim this as a community guitar it is more of a community inspired addition? I might be wrong but I think the concept of a community guitar is more about us designing something that is different from the standard options available?

Certainly, none of the other kit suppliers that I have seen offer a Baritone option of any description!

Just as a reminder to myself and for anyone interested, it is a 27" neck, with string gauge 13, 17, 20, 42, 52, and 65!

sweet can't wait to see if the baritone kits will be available and how much they will cost. Never knew the string gauges, nice and chunky !
Well done Gav and DB for getting this idea off the ground !

30 inch neck and .084 top string - wow now that would be a beast !
after a quick look only difference I can see between the Tele and Jag are the Jag has longer scale (30"), floating trem and heavier strings on the Jag.
sweet I'd want to order one of each for sure !

That's correct! Unless DB wants to change the Bari-Jag specs!

oooh I see the Baritele as a definite candidate for a P-Rails in the bridge... rail SC, fat P90 and series/parallel humbucker rolled into one, now that would produce some interesting tones.

One thought occurs, lest we get too carried away in bari goodness; what string companies carry a good/inexpensive range of bari strings? I am particularly worried about sets in the 30" scale. It's enough of a hassle getting strings for a short-scale bass...

D'addario, Ernie Ball.....plus my mate owns a music shop so i just put the word out and he is going to investigate some options for us.

Kosmic carries D'Addario Baritone Light 13-62 (http://www.kosmic.com.au/index.php/daddario-exl158-electric-baritone-l/) and Ernie Ball Baritone 20w-90 (http://www.kosmic.com.au/ernie-ball-baritone-guitar-strings-20-90/).

Just catching-up with this thread now. Jag too 'eh?

How the hell do I decide which one to get first?? Screw that, too hard - just order me both.

No doubt Adam could approach the PB Strings people about supplying sets (just while he isn't doing anything ;) ).

I'm pretty sure that GHS does a set.

Damn it all - this little project has obviously got lots of dude's gears turning, mine included.

Did this ever get resolved? I'm definitely 'in' if there's a possibility for the Tele.

I've got a feeling that if one was around it wouldn't be cheap as there may not be too many interested. I've got a feeling that Ads and the guys are flat out with Christmas close round the corner. Maybe later in the new year may be a better time to see if there is a swell of interest...
