Hey everyone!

I am doing this slightly ars*-backwards, since I have already built a kit and been posting on the Forum. Anyway.....

I'm located in Lorne (Victoria) and have been playing, and playing with, guitars for a long time. While I have made a few instruments from scratch I am really enjoying the quick-result these kits give you. It's a bit like making an Airfix model, but less nerdy.

My first attempt can be viewed in the June GOTM and I will begin to post pics of the next project (ST-1) soon.

Cheers.

Used to live out that way - Point Cook - mind you I was younger than Pest... Still remember the sound of the F111's flying over the school - everything stopped for a few minutes. :D

I'm in the East! About as far out as Pest, but further north.

I'm in Doncaster area, inner east.

This is getting nice and cosy isn't it...our own little faction within Pitbull!

I used to work there...back in the early seventies, down in the hanger by the now "defunct" jetty .. where the crash recovery/ rescue boat was moored... like the old song "Those were the days my friends" :P
I also remember the beat ups of the base when the F111 would do training nav ex's from Amberly down to Point Cook.
Another amazing and noteworthy display I witnessed was when the yanks were doing a "sales pitch " for the Tomcats and the F18, both A/C were truly amazingly agile.. from what appeared to be almost a high alpha hover to going out of sight vertically in seconds with full AB.
I was also present for the handover of the 1st F18 from assembly line at Avlon.

Welcome Ray. Lorne is on my standing Sunday ride to Wye River for coffee and a cake on the bike. As the handle might suggest, I'm in Torquay.

Cheers
Glenn

Glenn,

I work at Lick & Sip (across the road from the Mantra), feel free to drop in and ask for the Pit Bull discount.

You may need to refer to this as the Guitar-Nerd discount.......no respect.

I'm there every weekend, sadly.

Thanks Ray, will pop in one Sunday soon. Lick and sip is on my approved cafe list given you sell Zeally Bay Sourdough. :)

Cheers
