Output jacks can be mono or stereo.

The majority that you will come across are mono and this is the case with Pit Bull Guitars.
It is vitally important to ensure you attach the hot wire to the tip connector of the jack. Many will reverse that, and spend hours checking their wiring, trying to eliminate the resultant hum caused by the reversal of the ground and hot wires.

I found that if you look at the contacts then you can easily see what point it is!
The ground is the inside of the input, which means the contact point on the top is the ground.
The hot/active contact point is where the cable connects to the jack, and the contact is found by following THAT bit of metal!!!

I have actually gone so far as to make a reversal cable which I quickly plug into the guitar output jack and then plug into the guitar cable. This has saved me on two occasins already!!
