Hi folks,

We're looking at getting some cases in. We need these to ship any finished guitars we sell, but some of you may also like the option to purchase when you buy your kit; we can actually pack your kit into the case and save postage.

These cases would retail at around $85.

Which do you prefer, the shaped or the rectangular:

Rectangular cases fit 99% electric guitar types and bodies, and if you have a various guitar collection, they make stacking them easier. Would be nice to sell them individually as well!!!!

The shaped ones look to me like they're designed for the deeper body of an acoustic. When I sent the Yellow Peril for its nut job I put it in my acoustic case, and I had to pack a few towels underneath the body so that the headstock didn't collide with the lid - the accessory box under the neck was too high a pivot-point for a shallow-bodied guitar.

So, my vote would be for the rectangular case, on the assumption that it's the right tool for the job.

Rectangular case will fit most electrics, I think you may battle with the 'acoustic cases'.

yes rectangular gets my vote Adam.
Only axes that may need a bigger case are the ES and BC models, otherwise most other shapes would fit in a rectangular

Is it possible to order a Flying V shape Adam ? I know these wouldn't fit into my rectangular case

cheers Wokka

Ok, I agree, it's a no-brainer, but I do like the look of the shaped case... something more aesthetically pleasing about it.

And yes, Brendan and other low end occupiers, we will get some bass cases as well.

Wokka, I checked and the rectangular case will take one of our ES-1G guitars, so, I'm assuming that's about the same size as the V. You've got one of each, so maybe you can confirm for us.

Q. How many guitarist does it take to get the keys out from the inside of a locked car?

There was a cannibal who was in the mood for some human brains, so he walks into his local deli to see what they had. he looks around in the case as sees the following:

Bassist brains: $10/lb
Keyboardist brains:$15/lb
Drummer brains: $20/lb
Guitarist brains: $1000/lb

The cannibal then asks, why the guitarist brains cost so much. The butcher replies, "Do you know how many guitar players we have to kill to get one pound of brains?"

Why can't bass players get through a door? They either can't find the key, or they don't know when to come in!

These jokes should be aimed at drummers. You know, the guys who weren't good enough to play a real musical instrument so started bashing stuff with sticks out of frustration.

Dumb question - flat packed kit form cases?

dingobass

OK then....

Why do Guitarists have a set of drumsticks on the dashboard of their car?

So they can park in Disabled parking spaces....

Hi Adam, I've only just seen this question. I tried to fit the flying V in my rectangular case for the photo shoot and it's too wide at the bottom to fit, no biggy don't order in a FV case just for one model.

If you like I'll measure the width of the bottom of the V tonight to make sure our cases aren't different dimensions.

Nice jokes fellas, I think its fair to pick on drummers as I haven't come across too many in the forum !

Just a quick Q also.. will the pb1 fit into the rectangular case? Just thinking outside the square about the neck angle on them..

adam
17-05-2013, 10:02 AM
Yes AJ, I'm pretty sure they will fit. There's some confusion from the factory about which guitars will fit into the rectangular guitar case. They said in one email that the ES-1G (our biggest guitar) will fit. Then, a few minutes lately, said that you would need the "Bass" case for the ES-1G. Anyhoo, we've got some coming in June (hopefully) so we will measure them up for all our guitars. We might even look at sourcing some rubber and sexy black felt and sell them in packs so you can customise your case.

Ive noticed that cases are avilable now...good news!

Any news on what case suits the ES?

adam
03-08-2013, 12:16 PM
Highace10, it was one of the first things we checked and our guitar cases and bass cases will not accommodate an ES-1G or FV-1 guitar (assembled). They don't make cases that size. You're going to have to get a specific ES style case for the ES-1G and I'm not even sure what case is going to fit the FV-1.
