Giday All.
I'm just another guitar mad dude. Been playing since I was 16 now 45. Played in a few pub bands and some duo's ect. ect. I love building my own gear. Have a Tele I made in 97 it's silky oak with a Mighty mite neck. Then Built a Rickenbacker 360 12 string copy with a through neck made of all QLD timber. QLD maple body with Wenge center strip .The pickup is an old toaster style pickup a friend gave me and I think its from an old Rickenbacker copy. It sounds good and looks good so I'm happy. I have been building Valve Amps since about 1989 when I was doing my Electronics trade with Dick Smith electronics in Sydney then in Brisbane . Valve amps have been my passion and I am getting back into it after a messy Divorce 5 years ago.. So I'm thinking I just might build a few of your interesting looking and from all reports well made guitars in the next few years.. Happydays:-)

Hey Hungry,

Welcome aboard!

I must say my ears pricked up when I saw the Silky Oak Tele, I have wondered if Silky was any good as a Lutherie timber and now my question has been answered.
Just don't let Adam get his hands on it or you may loose it :P ..... ( There is an in house joke going on about Adams passion for the Telecaster) I have put together two of our Tele kits and both were snaffled by Adam before they were finished!

A valve amp dude? How groovy is that! I am sure that there will be many forum members that will be very interested to hear that.

Anyhoo, glad to have you as part of the Pit Bull family :D

What do you mean "in-house" joke....i had to take security with me when I took my tele for the photo-shoot at Adam's?

Would love to know more about building Tube Amps! any suggestions?

Hey HungryHunter, welcome aboard.

It's true, I collect Telecasters and that one of yours does look kinda sweet. If you're ever in Perth why don;t you bring it over one day... :D

Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Suggest you don’t take it to Adams, he has a super reverb amp and he believes that unless you own one, you automatically have to give him your Tele :D

Haha!! That is true! Just remember DB, if I ever visit you, I automatically get the best G-Type you have!!!

Welcome to the forums HungryHunter! I can tell you, that when you get your first kit, you will probably want to get every other kit (like me!)!

Cheers,
Callum
