That is, frankly, astonishingly attractive. DB, you may actually have the best job in the world.

The only thing that would make that sexier is if it were a single piece of ash. For the price I guess you can't complain though.
Looks beautiful DB!

"Keep her frets on" ... sounds euphemistic!

Beautiful job as always, DB.

DB,

You've mentioned before that all the PB kits have a 12" radiused fretboards, can you recall if the IB-5 is the same?

I'm not happy with the fret jobs I've been doing and have reluctantly decided that I should buy a radiused sanding beam and was hoping that I might only need the one.

Cheers

Hi Robin

As far as I know ALL the Pit bull Guitar Kits have a 12" radius.

If you are going to build a few kits can I suggest that you look into the diamond offset files from StewMac. They are $100 but worth every dollar as you will want to reshape(re-crown) your frets without damaging the fretboard and without needing physio therapy to a very sore arm afterwards! I have both the 150 and 300 grit files, but you will get away with only the 300 grit until you get as lazy as me and decide to acquire the 150 as well.

Thanks for that Gav.

I'm reasonably happy with the frets I've done for myself so far, but the bass is a gift for a friend so I want it to be spot on. I would love to get the files but can't justify the expense at present. I have the luxury of time, so going slow and careful is not a problem. Physio Therapy? Darn can't afford that.

Thanks again mate

A more economical file is the Double edged fret file at $40 for the narrow/ medium file.
I have had these and they work well.
