Wow DB, that is beautiful!!! You can already see the burst leaping out of the grain!

Holy dooly! I didn't really like the look of these kits, but this is pretty special. Glad to see some burst finishes showing up, it's answering a few questions i had.

Yeah, the look of this kit didn't appeal to me at first, but then I saw the burst and I now wanna get my hands on one of these!

so the neck gets glued in BEFORE putting top coats on the body?

No, you complete the body and neck separately leaving the wood bare at the neck join so the glue can adhere effectively.

Two part question:
do you need to shield the hollow body?
how would you shield the hollow body?
and a thought, how about a reverse burst with darker in the center, lighter on the edges?
