Hi all

A quick question -- what is the AIB-1F most similar to with regard to commercial instruments?

Also, when finishing a veneer guitar like this one, does it matter that there are two different woods involved? Should they be treated differently?

Thanks!

I believe these are inspired by the S series from the brand starting with "IB".

If you don't mind me asking, why did you pick the Q over the F?

I like the look of both, but I am tending towards the F right now...

I think it came down to availability. The F is on backorder, and the Q is in stock.

Actually, now that I think about it, I can't rightly recall if I was aware of an F version at the time. As I plan out how I'm going to finish my kit, I've wished on more than one occasion that it was flamed (but I don't have any real regrets).

That's as good a reason as any! :)

They both look good, so it is a hard choice...
