I did this wiring adjustment....thanks weirdy again. I also fitted a Seymour Duncan pickup and a thumb rest as well. Totally finished and here she is.

Nice mirror finish there ozz.

How's it sound with the SD? And how do you like the high-cut position?

Thanks for the good thoughts.....it is an okay outcome.

The Seymour Duncan pickup is a total different fish to the original one. It is definitely a Bass pickup and has grunt for days. I had to Dremel sand around the bottom bobbin to get it to fit the body rout. Not much, just a skim all around.

It sits under the strings a lot better. The Quarter Pounder magnets have an amazing sound....and it sustains for weeks.

The switch spends most of its time in the third position....as shown above. The high cut works very subtly....but rounds off twangs in some songs that have a fair bit of D and G string play. It really does make it sound like a Bass...without the muffled muddy sound of the tone rolled off.

Very nice mod on a great pickup. Love it....the Tele Bass has been my go to for a few weeks now. :)
