Hi. Russell here.
Whilst I have been a long time music fan and very part time guitarist. I have some OK timber work skills but have dealt largely in practical homemaker projects. This is the first time I have ventured into making a guitar. I have made several cajons and am mastering the construction of stomp pedals. So far only given them away to friends, will probably become the retirement activity. I mostly play acoustic and own a Maton Messiah which is a far better guitar than my playing deserves, I also dabble with a Crafter 12 string, Yamaha entry level Bass and a very old yamaha FG series acoustic, My electric is a 30 year old Cimar by Ibanez but it holds its own against newer products as it came out of the Japanese factory. I play for fun at open mic nights and with the school teachers band and am hoping to have the duo I am in become a regular thing. Interest in performance stems from the years I played with my daughter, where I was backing guitarist for her outstanding vocals. Miss that now that she lives in Melbourne.
