    Thanks cork.
I should point out a couple of handy items that I used.

Highly recommended over the equivalent Dremel.
Had this now a couple of years and it's working like it's just out of the box.

Not to say everything Dremel is crap.
I got this the other day due to inclusion of the EZ lock system.
    Works really well.

    cheers, Mark.

Having read Bass Guy's build thread, (although Grant did something similar) I've stumbled upon another modification.
After looking at a few Jazzmaster jpegs, I'm going to carve away some of the lower bout which is a tad exaggerated in the JM-1.
I'm mainly concerned about getting it to sit better in a guitar stand.

That makes sense as offsets tend to be a bit bottom heavy.

Cheers Waz...and incidentally it may also help to fit it in a standard guitar case

    cheers, Mark.

Hi Waz, yes I think it's an improvement.

After measuring, it's 40" which is an inch longer than my Strat/Tele and Squier Tele.
So probably still wouldn't fit in a standard case (not that I have one to try).

    cheers, Mark.
