    Starting to resemble a guitar.
Now glad that I'm using a place-holder scratch plate as attention to knob location is required.

    Thanks Stan.
It's highly un-original but as the aim is to mimic the real mccoy...
Slightly better focus.Click image for larger version.

If you’re willing to use different style knobs you could go with a concentric volume pot, so you can have both volumes stacked.

I use the tired cliche 'never say never' all the time.
However, I wouldn't know a concentric pot even if it came up behind and kicked me up the arse.

    cheers, Mark.

    Thanks for the suggestion WeirdBits.
I'm about to dive into the technical thicket that you probably call 'elementary wiring'.
I'll definitely investigate (stumble through) that avenue.

Although since finally locating the bridge, I'm now tempted to move the bridge pickup rearwards a bit more.

    cheers, Mark.

    First foray into the wiring.
Encumbered with an amateur's level of soldering.
    Hampered by dodgy factory wiring.
Several false starts but finally managed to produce a sound.

I'm waiting on delivery of a 'Gibson' style 3-way switch but used the kit one in lieu.

    cheers, Mark.

As the pickups actually work I'll put all the strings on and check for playability.
Suspend the wiring until the 3-way toggle arrives.

Second attempt at MDF scratchplate place-holder.
    Bridge pickup moved back.
Bridge may move forward a couple of mm.
