Good pickup Waz... although as per the Commercial Quality Control thread.. they come that way from Fender these days as well.

You'd have to think that would introduce some playability problems.

    Otherwise looks great.

I think you're right looking at the string positions over the neck pickup, easiest fix could be moving the bridge towards the upper bout a bit

You're right Dave as when looking at rear neck joint there doesn't appear to be any room to move neck angle.
Also looks like intonation has not been done yet as bridge saddles are way back and all lined up in a row rather than staggered as you would expect in order to compensate for differing string thicknesses.

Still can't believe I managed to finish this - I thought I'd be entering it in GOTM this time last year!

    LP-1S with the following alterations:

GFS Pickups (Fat Pat and Vintage Extra Hot)
    GFS bridge and TP
    GFS grover style tuners
    CTS pots
    GFS tone and volume knobs
    GFS gold toggle
    Gold pickup rings (possibly eBay?)
Black colortone stain on back and sides and Truoil finish all over
11-56 strings, tuned to drop C

Apologies for the pic quality, I'm a printmaker not a photographer!

    Hi

Finally, my first Kit guitar is finished, I would like to thank Pitbull guitars for the beautiful kit they have sold to me.

It was a challenge to decide which finish style I would like, then I found a very famous guitar brand that unfortunately I can't afford it, called Knaggs. I put my skills as Designer plus my interest in resin art. Few drawings after I decided to start with a Telecaster style looking like Knaggs (double purfling).

    The specs:
    - Telecaster kit from Pitbull ash body, maple neck, maple fretboard
    - Tonerider Vintage Plus pickups
    - Standard electronics
    - Oil finish Birchwood Casey (back&neck)
    - Coffee + Black Japan Stain (darken ash)
    - DingoTone Black Stump (top, faded black effect)
    - Clear resin (top)
    - Clear resin + Blue pearl powder (Purfling)
    - Bridge: Gotoh BS-TC2
    - Grover Chrome 6 Inline Mini Locking Rotomatics
    - Wooden Custom Pickguard (Aussie wood sandwich)

The guitar looks good, plays smoothly, more mods will come such as electronics, nut, jack and strap locks. The pickups are very balanced, I love it.

    Hope you guys like it.

Wow, that's pretty cool and a very different approach.

LP look's great too John. We must nearly be through all of the remaining of those kits.

That Tele is awesome! It’s really hard to do something unique (that actually looks good) on such a common guitar but you’ve nailed it.
