I'm slowing finishing PBA-4, using a flat acrylic colour base and clear acrylic top coat. My end point is a high gloss finish.
I have painstakingly sanded, grain-filled, sanded, primed, and re-sanded, to get a smooth finish on the Ash body. (I will go on record as stating that everything I have read about Ash being a pain to prep is true.)
I've applied several colour coats, and now want to do some leveling prior to applying the clear. There is no Ash grain visible, but the acrylic feels a little rough.
So, I'm just after some guidance for how fine a grit I might need to use at this point. Any thoughts?
Thanks! Paul
