I think I actually started this build in August '18 and *lots* of "stuff" happened since then... but now it's D-U-N, dun!
My "hybrid" design features:
Basswood Tele body; 22 fret Maple/Rosewood neck; bone nut; Realtone (Jin-Ho) tuners; "Custom" 3-ply Strat pickguard; Fender Vintage Noiseless Stratocaster pickups; Tele control plate w/ 1V 1T + 5-way switch; Realtone hardtail bridge w/ steel block saddles; LP-style steel jack plate.
I did a very simple alternative wiring scheme for the 5-way switch that gives me the following positions and combinations:
1: Neck
2: Neck & Bridge
3: Bridge
4: Middle & Bridge
5: Middle
Yes, you sacrifice the Middle & Neck combo, but gain the 1-2-3 of the tele. Personally, I don't mind the trade off.
Finish:
"Deep Aqua" acrylic lacquer base coat with ac/lac clear coat. Wet sanded to P4000 then Micro-Gloss polished.
Also the the body features forearm and belly contours. I've decided those a must for me on a tele :^)
It weighs in at a featherweight of 3.1kg (6 lbs 13 oz)
Oh btw, it plays and sounds awesome!!!
