Thread: Rich's AGJM-1 Build

Dude, great save, and killer guitar.

Also, I'd not seen those little brass inserts for the control cover screws, but they seem like an amazing idea

Thanks for the kind comments guys. I’m really happy with how’s its come out. I still need to make a diary for build #2 especially since I’ve just started on build #3

John- let me know if you need the link to the ones I bought

Oh, yeah, a link would be great! Thanks

Thanks guys. I still haven’t done anymore to it, I just keep playing it lol

John- Send me a pm mate

Andy- Ended up using a Graphtech Sonic1, was tossing up about getting an adjustable wrap around but they all seemed to not fit the style of the guitar.

I've noticed that on some high end guitar's they use little brass inserts in the wood instead of screwing directly into it. This is way overkill on this guitar but i imagine it would be handy for people running active electronics and have to change batteries. I ended up getting like 50 from eBay for $8.50 so they'll probably get some use on future builds too.

    Some stainless M3 5MM screws

    Where I'm up to now:

    What's left to do:
    Fit strap buttons
    Buy a case
Change the strings to a heavier gauge before final sanding of the nut. I've been playing a strat with 12's lately. 10's on this feel loose haha

That is one damn fine smokin' guitar! Great job!
