Tiger : body and neck out of alignment

    Hi everyone ,
This my first guitar build. I have just received my TLA-1Q Ash kit and on the dry run the neck and body are not in alignment when well pushed together. So if looking at it together front the front in playing position it looks like ^. Is this common ? What is the best way to resolve the problem ? The centre of the neck is not quite centered in the body cavity.
have done some searching but not able to find what to do apart from my own ideas.
    Kind regards,

The first thing to know is that you can’t rely on the fret marker dots to be exactly centred. The book matching join on the veneer also may not be true centre.

Make sure there are no obstructions in the neck cavity. Clamp the neck on and see how it looks with the hardware in place as well. It also helps to run string from the nut to the bridge (do both e strings) as the will show the neck alignment from a playability sense.

    Thanks Fretworn,
looks like the veneer may have been laid a little above centreline and at a slight angle. The neck dots are well centered. it is what it is, so onward and upward !
    cheers !
