    Hey there!

    Hey there everyone, just thought i'd pop in and say hi. First and foremost, I am a hack at best when playing the guitar (there's only three chords yeah?). Anyways, good thing this isn't for me, my beautiful lady will be the recipient of what I hope is a great surprise present. I have opted for the epiphone model - ES-1.

    I hope people don't mind several noobesque questions as I haven't had much experience painting wood (excepting fences and the like - nothing a savvy as a guitar!).

    Anyways, I'll trawl the forums and look for some tips and tricks (great news is she loves white guitars so that's hopefully a good thing).

    welcome KPJ Best bit of advice I can give is..."if in doubt ask the forum before going any further".
    Second is read the manual http://pitbullguitars.com/wp-content...s%20Manual.pdf yea, I know reading manuals is what you do AFTER stuffing up but in this case make an exception

    ES1 is a nice kit. I have almost finished one and hope to have it all done by Friday.
    Never painted a guitar so cannot offer any advice other than check out as many build diaries as possible as there will lots of useful information to be found there.

    Actually, there are 8 - C,A,G,E,D,Em,Am & Dm. Everything else is what capos were invested for.

    Obvious example, the House of York argued for F while the House of Lancaster argued for Dm, the rest is history.
