    Ready to drill out wonky holes, and wouldn't you know it, chuck key gone walkabout

    Found the chuck key, and enlarged the holes to 6mm.

    6mm dowels glued and hammered in to position.

    I used a hacksaw to cut most of the dowel stubs off.

    The renovator type tool made quick, but smoky, work of the two that were hard to reach with the hacksaw.

    I Can't recommend these enough for that fiddly type of flush or near flush cut..

    I haven't got around to the soft spot yet. I did get a 6 pack of CA glue, though.

    I am learning, but it is down to you guys By the time I am finished this guitar, I should be able to handle any faults a solid body can throw at me, maybe

    Got a little more done today.
    My drill press isn't big enough to reach the string through points, so this was my solution:


    Test worked OK:




    A little wonky on the back, but I can live with that:
