Single Humbucker Black Beauty Les Paul

Im not sure if i put this in the right place (this will be my build diary once its ordered and delivered). So after two teles behinds the scenes which i have sold i've decided to step up my game i've been inspired by a band called The Darkness and their "all i need is a Les Paul and a Marshall" tone so i'm going for a single pick up LP from thefretwire because of the single humbucker its just two knobs so the wiring should be a little easier i'm planing on having the bridge, pickups and tuners gold and making the rest of it black so it looks some what like this

should be able to order it in a few months. In the mean time could someone show me what the Black Stump Dingo tone looks like because the image on the site makes it look green and i heard there are issues with it would there be any alternatives that are some what cheap and easy to apply.

Sounds cool Airwick, you might want to get one of the mods to move this to the Non pbg forum though

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.

Little triangle with a ! at the bottom of each post. Just ask Brendan to move it and it will be done shortly.

Good quality black fountain pen ink would be my preference for a stain as it would come out a darker and more even all over shade of black plus also allowing some grain to show through too.
    Cheers, Waz

I'm looking forward to seeing this one progress!

Here's what I used on my LP:
    Waterbased stain | SamaN
    108 - Black

It's a Canadian product so I'm not sure how available it'll be to you, but it checks all the boxes you're looking for. It's cheap, easy to apply, easy to clean and the colour is none more black

That stuff ships down under! I've done a little reading on it and it seems pretty good. If i ended up using ink could i use Tru Oil as a clear coat?

That is what i use all the time.
Just need to brush on 1st & maybe 2nd coats of TO to prevent stain being dragged around but all good to switch back to rag method after that.

Thinking of possibly getting a "Les Trem" to go with it just to make it a little more unique has anyone had any experience with them? I know Duesengberg makes one but does anyone else?
