    GSJ1 - First Build Complete

This was a 'Second' kit with a chipped horn and mismatch body halves. The neck was sloppy requiring some block sanding and woodchips to centralise it.

Finish is Dingotone Outback Sunrise on Mahogany. I'm a big fan of Dingotone - the wood looks beautiful now but it was a real mismatch in the halves. It's easy to use, smells nice and just takes patience - you can't rush it. Minimal mess, too.

What looks like pale blotchy patches in the pics is actually grain refracting light at different angles. As you move it around the grain patches change the light and dark like animal fur.

Close up the grain is stunning. I am not going to buff it glossy from here as it feels great. It's just one layer of Dingotone over the decal too.

Whole kit is standard including strings! I have plans for creme pickguard and pickup cover.

Just dug out my old looper. A little taste of P90ness. This pickup measures up low DCr at 5.6 but it's not bad at all.

When the cheese'n'kisses isn't around I'll try to record a bit more.

Sounds great! Bit more of a Tele lick than I was expecting ;-)
