Hi operation underdog is my second tele build . The idea here was to use only small/ privately owned companies or business.so no companies like wormoth, long and mcquiad and guitAr Center ect were used for the actual build . The specs are a walnut version of a 69 thinline , bigsby b5 and vibrio mate ,ratio locking tuners , joe Borden compisit saddles , schaller strap locks, a 21 fret walnut neck with a striped macascar ebony fretboard . The neck is a .99” from top to bottom with that delightful vintage u shape . It will be getting a fender pro tweed case . I only used small companies to get my parts . My pickups are not ordered yet but will be in due time . The companies I used were
Ayrguitars ( Ontario Canada ): all my hardware and Pauo ferro pickguard ( real wood)
Tonebomb (Alberta Canada): neck and body . The neck is in the process of being made
Dark moon pickup ( nyc USA ): a set of custom wound pickups .and custom wire harness
Real instruments ( Charlotte town Pei ) will be doing the final setup on this beauty .
The case will be coming from long and mcquaid ( summerside PEI )
My case will have stickers of all the companies I felt with for my project . And I’m playing on using a small business from not too far from my house to get a decal of a dog and the words “ the underdog project “ to put on the case . Let me know what you think . Remember support your small local companies . You could be the difference from making them float or sink .
